Binds

How To Make Your Own Binds
Example Bind:

/bind wel =~[c9]~[j12]:lol Welcome to :bandit Hardwood :bandit

Format:

/bind ? =

Type /bind then space then what you want your

bind to stand for (the short version on bind) = then you make your bind.

Examples:

Bind Plain in Black Color /bind Jag= Her Jag

Bind in Color /bind Jag=~[c12]~[j15]Her ~[c10]~[j0]Jag

Bind in Color Smileys Added /bind Jag=~[c12]~[j15]:-D Her :lol ~[c10]~[j0]Jag >-D

After your Bindis made, when you want to use it, you simply type /Jag

which is what you chose your bind to be named is your short version.

In your color format you must not forget the [ ~ ]

and the small [ c ] is for your Color and the [ ~ ] and the small [ j ] is for your Outline Color.

Example for multi colors:

Multi Rainbow Bind: H U G S /bind hug=~[cff66cc]H~[c9900cc]U~[cff9900]G~[c 0000ff]S

Hit enter to submit the bind.

To use you would type /hug and your "hugs" bind will appear.

You can Also make a fooms bind:

Example:

/bind hk=/kiss 2 && /joy o && /kiss 2

This will send two kisses to your partner and joy hearts to yourself!

Colors

Hardwood offers 19 different colors for you to use in your binds and regular dialogue. In the picture below is what they look like in Hardwood.

.

0 = Black

1 = Dark Blue

2 = Green

3 = Teal

4 = Dark Red

5 = Purple

6 = Brown

7 = Grey

8 = Dark Grey

9 = Blue

10 = Bright Green

11 = Bright Blue

12 = Red

13 = Pink

14 = Yellow

15 = White

16 = Tan

17 = Light Yellow

18 = Orange

If you right click in the chat window (the place where you type) scroll to color and it will list 9 of these colors you can chose from. That is like a shortcut if you would rather not make your colors into Binds or type them every time.

How To Do Colors:

Each time you want to use a color you must type the following code:

~[c?]~[j?]

The little c = the inside color

The little j = the outline color

Examples:

~[c1]~[j15] Her Jag

~[c10]~[j0] Hardwood Spades

~[c7]~[j9] Best Site EVER !

or you can type the name of the color too like this:

~[cblack] \\~[cred]I~[cblack]//

~[cblack] (~[cblue]o~[cblack]-~[cblue]o~[cblack])

~[cblack]__oOO_(_)_OOo__

You can even do more than one color in a line.

Examples:

~[c1]~[j15]Hardwood~[c10]~[j0] Spades is the ~[c7]~[j13] Best Site Ever!

This would produce the above example, but all in the same line!

Important!!!

You will notice when you type the ~[c?]~[j?] in Hardwood that it disappears. Don't worry, it's still there, it is just invisible so it doesn't show when you typewhat you want to say! When it disappears your following type will be the colors you put in!

You don't always have to use both ~[c?] and ~[j?]. They will work alone as well. If you use ~[c?] alone the outline will not show, but if you use ~[j?] alone, it will make the inside color black!

Hex Color Charts:

Hex color codes give you a broader range of color in Hardwood. You use them just as you would the standard Hardwood colors that you learned about above.

They are 6 digits, numbers and or letters. You insert them in your color code just as you would the Standards above.

Examples:

~[jffaaaa]~[cCC0033]

~[j66CCFF]~[cFF9933]

Smileys

Your Smileys:

Smileys are a great way to decorate your binds and convey your emotion in the lobby. Here are the ones that hardwood offers you in the menu. To access this menu, right click on the chat area, where you type, and scroll to emotes. This exact listing will be there. Minus the symbols and explanation.

You can also type /smileys in the chat box to bring up the full listing in another view.

There is also one extra emote. That of a gold star. :star - Gold Star.

Fooms are listed in the player menu too. To get to the player menu, right click on one of the avatars at the table, & in small pictures it will show you the fooms, and give you an option for super fooms.

You can send fooms to any number of people at the table. You would simply type a foom like the following example to send say kisses to two people at the table.

In a rated game, you get 3 fooms per hand. In a social game they are unlimited.

Example:

/kiss 1,1,1,2,2,2

This would send three kisses to the player on your left, as well as your pard.

Bonus Trick!

Wanna send two different fooms at the same time?

Well all you need to do is type '&&' between each foom you are going to use.

Example:

/skiss 2,2, && /luck 1,1,3,3

This will send two Super Kisses to your pard and also luck twice to both of the other players.

You can Also make a fooms bind:

Example:

/bind hk=/kiss 2 && /joy o && /kiss 2

This will send two kisses to your partner and joy hearts to yourself!

13. To find any player/guide's location in Hardwood:

- Type: /find (then their nic)

examples: /find Her Jag

* Server: Her Jag is in Game 1 in room Just For Fun Spades

* Server: Can't find: Her Jag

And it will tell you where that person is if they are in Hardwood!

14. Unbinding:

For instance, you have the bind /welcome.

To delete it you can type: /unbind welcome

It will then be removed from your bind list!

15. Check A Players Ping:

A lot of times a player will be playing slow and they didn't ask for a "be right back". Lag is often a big cause of this. Basically to ping means testing to see the connection rate of a particular IP address, in our case a player)

To Ping a player click on their avatar, or name and select ping.

Example:

* Lobby Server: Her Jag's ping is 128 ms

* Lobby Server: Her Jag hasn't responded in 15 seconds.

Ping Status Ping In ms What It Means

Good 1-500 ms Person is available & should be playing.

Fair 501-1000 ms Person may have some random lag, but still ok.

Poor 1001+ ms Person has highlag & probably appears to be away.

Booting No response in ? seconds. Player is booting from Hardwood.

When a player is booting, it means they have lost connection to the server. Once they are able to reconnect, they will automatically be placed back in their game. This can happen on dialup connections, as well as cable.

16. Booting:

Two things can happen if a player boots during a game.

1. Theywill reconnect and pop back into the game and continue on.

2. If the game has ended before they returned, they will get an incomplete.

17. Incompletes:

Incompletes come about a few different ways.

1. If a player boots before the games end & the game finishes without them.

2. If a player 'quits' during a game and does not return.

3. If a player is kicked from a game.

18. Player Profiles:

In player profiles there is a link called Web Profile. Clicking this link will open a browser window that will show you what games they have played, whether they won, lost, booted, kicked, or quit.

Booting will look like: This player was disconnected from the server.

Kicking will look like:This player was kicked from this game.

Quitting will look like: This player left this game early.

19. Game Stats:

Shows other players scoresat their table without being at thetable.

Example:

* Lobby Server: Game 1 Scores: Her Jag 71 Joan de Arc -60 Ogre 71 Guenivere -60

20. GoAway /away ... this will make you brown in the lobby as soon as you hit enter. To come back just check a profile or type.
